Prevue Online Assessment

Prevue Tests are a reliable measurement of job candidates' cognitive abilities, interests and motivations, and their character traits.

Job applicants' cognitive abilities are estimated by three tests, each of which concentrates on different types of human reasoning.

The Working with Words Test evaluates how well applicants understand written information, be it written manuals, instructions, or reports. The type of reasoning measured by this test is verbal.

The Working with Numbers Test estimates applicants' numerical reasoning. It expects you to demonstrate your ability to understand and calculate numbers and manipulate data. The test is given to applicants vying for clerical, administrative, and financial positions.

The Working with Shapes Test evaluates candidates' spatial reasoning. In other words, it measures their ability mentally to manipulate shapes and visualize objects. On the test, job candidates are asked to imagine how images and items can be organized within a particular space.

Applicants interests and motivations are estimated on the Interest and Motivation Test.

The Interest and Motivation Test evaluates what potential employees like or dislike. Far from predicting their performance at work, the test simply ascertains what tasks they prefer to fulfill. The goal of the Interest and Motivation Test is to alert people to knew professional areas and new job opportunities.

The Personality Test focuses on those character traits that propel a person to think or act in a specific way. It is a reliable prediction of how potential employees will perform in their new workplace and how they will cooperate with their co-workers. The test helps employers to assess whether a job candidate will follow the behavioral requirements of their company. The Personality Test is based on the Five-Factor Model of Personality designed to identify applicants' primary personality dimensions.

Prevue Working with Words Test is a verbal reasoning test. It examines range of English language skills. These skills can be broken down into the following groups: Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension, and Critical Reasoning. Vocabulary part evaluates your understanding of professional vocabulary. On the test, you may be asked to correct grammar in complex sentences, complete sentences, or check words' spelling. Grammar tests examine your understanding of English grammar and your ability to correct grammatical mistakes. In this section, you will be asked to complete a sentence or decide what sentence should follow a given one in a paragraph. Comprehension section measures your ability to understand written information, analyse it, and answer questions about the passage you have just read. Critical Reasoning tests evaluates how well you analyse given information. On the test, you will be required to read a certain passage and then decide wheter a statement about it is true or false, or whether you simply do not have enough information to make a valid conclusion.

Should I Choose "Strongly Agree/Disagree" or "Agree/Disagree" on SHEA's Personality Tests?

There are different kinds of questions found on personality assessment tests. When given a statement with extreme statements such as "always" and "never," you should answer them with less extreme answers such as "agree" and "not strongly agree." However, there are questions which you should answer with "strongly agree" or "strongly disagree." You should choose the "strongly agree" option when the following types of questions are asked: Most people are honest by nature. Most people can be trusted. Very few people steal at work. I cannot remember the last time I lost my temper at work. I rarely worry about how well I'm doing at my job. The Prevue Numerical Test assesses job candidates' ability to understand and make decisions based on numerical data. You will be required to perform basic mathematical calculations such as adding, substracting, multiplying, and dividing.
