Prepare for L.L. Bean's Tests

Regardless of whether you are applying for a corporate or in-store role, the recruitment process is very similar. Find out what to expect during the L.L. Bean hiring process below

  • Application Process: Once you have selected a suitable position from the L.L. Bean careers website you will then be prompted to create a new user account. From there you will need to fill in your personal details and upload your resume.
  • Initial Interview: Your initial interview with L.L. Bean will either be held over the phone, Skype, or in-person. The kind of initial interview that you will need to participate in will be determined by the role you have applied for.
  • Pre-Hire Tests: In order to determine whether your skill sets and abilities are the right match for the vacant position and the company's standards, you may be asked to take one or more pre-employment aptitude tests.
  • Personal Interviews: If you have passed all other stages of the L.L. Bean recruitment process, you will be invited to participate in an in-person interview. Retail positions will often require a group interview with other applicants, then a one-on-one interview with members of the management team.

L.L. Bean uses the iCIMS Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as a screening tool for resumes. To ensure that your application and resume are up to par with the iCIMS ATS, please click here.
