The Hiring Process at Docusign Explained

If you decide to go through the hiring process at Docusign, you should know that it could take 3 weeks. During these weeks, you will go through a number of interviews and a number of tests that will assess your skills. Some are very specific about the job you will be applying for, while others are general and include:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Ability to multi-task, manage workload, and complete projects timely within deadlines, without sacrificing quality


Docusign Interview Stages

Docusign has a presence in several locations. This fact and the type of job you are applying for have a heavy influence on the type and number of interviews you will have to go through. You may be required to participate in several of the following interviews:

  • A phone interview. A phone interview is an initial screening method used by employers. Sometimes there is more than on interview. The purpose is to appraise whether it is worth to invite you to a face-to-face interview. During the phone interview, you will be asked questions about your resume, the desired salary, availability, some basic behavioral questions and a very basic questions about your skills. This type of interview usually lasts about 30 minutes.
  • A technical interview. Which will testing for very specific technical skills.
  • A group interview. A group interview is similar to a panel, but there is more than one candidate, between 10-40. This interview can last about an hour as well. Each candidate will be asked a question by each interviewer. Sometimes, candidates will be required to present something together.


The Tests at Docusign

During the hiring process at Docusign, you will come across several tests with a varying degree of complexity and they will include the following:

  • The PI test which includes the PI LI (Predictive Learning Indicator) and the PI (Predictive Index) tests. The Pi Li test is used to measure your cognitive ability or your capability to learn and adapt to the workplace. The test consists of 50 questions which need to be completed within 12 minutes and includes the following topics: Numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning. The PI is used by employers to help predict workplace performance, as candidates' responses on the PI indicate their behavioral propensities. The assessment comprises two pages, each of them includes 86 adjectives. The assessment is untimed, but it generally takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.
  • Mathematical tests. Depending on the complexity of the position you’ve applied for, this could be either basic or advanced mathematics with graphs, functions and more.
  • Computer skills. If you are applying for a job that requires computer proficiency, you will be tested on it.


Common Interview Questions

The most common interview questions that you may have to answer during your interview process are:

  • What has been the greatest disappointment in your life?
  • What major challenges and problems have you faced? How did you handle them?
  • Do you work well with other people?
