Delta Hiring Process

If you meet the aforementioned prerequisites, you may apply for a flight attendant position with Delta. The Delta flight attendant hiring process consists of the following steps:

  • Application
  • Assessment tests
  • Phone/video interview
  • Interview
  • Drug test/background check

Delta Flight Attendant Assessment Tests

In order to become a flight attendant with Delta, you will need to successfully complete several pre-employment assessments. Some of the assessments tests you may encounter are as follows:

  • Situational judgement tests – These tests present you with hypothetical, yet realistic, work scenarios.
  • Capacity assessment – These tests cover topics such as shape testing, flight crew testing, and flight crew operations.
  • DDI Assessment – These tests assess your personality, work approach and style, motivations, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Verbal reasoning tests – These tests provide you with a paragraph of information and some multiple-choice questions. Based on the text, you must select the correct answer. This is done under severe time constraints, so you need to work fast in order to complete the test in the time allotted.

Delta Interviews

Preparing for an interview can be difficult as companies devise new techniques and questions to knock you off your kilter. HR managers want to know how you are going to handle criticism in the moment by trying to use scare tactics (i.e. no smiles during the interview), using the stress interview (i.e. rapid-fire questioning) or by using the classic weakness question. First understand that the interviewer is not out to get you, but to find the best candidate who can "take the heat". Don't get nervous, bring your "A Game" with our interview PrepPack™ and be ready for any interview scenario.
