An applicant tracking system (ATS) scans for keyword-specific phrases that match the job original description. Therefore, in order to ensure that your application moves forward in the hiring process, be sure that you've reviewed your documents and adjusted them to reflect the written job description. Learn more about specific applicant tracking systems and how to beat them on our dedicated ATS page.
If you are applying for an entry-level position it is recommended that you go through a local pre-employment training center near the Boeing plant you want to work at. However, in order to get accepted to the Boeing pre-employment training center, you need to pass the WorkKeys Assessment Test in the five following categories:
After passing the WorkKeys assessment test, you will be invited to an interview and depending on your score on the assessment tests, you can even receive a full scholarship to the training center. Upon successful completion of the training center, you will be invited to Boeing for an interview.
You may encounter further pre-employment assessment tests, depending on the position you're applying to. Some assessments may include the following question types:
The hiring and recruitment process at Boeing includes several rounds and types of interviews. The first interview is a telephone interview. During which, you will be asked several preliminary questions (qualifications, job experience, availability, skills, etc.) before you are invited to attend a formal interview. This phone interview typically lasts 25-35 minutes.
If you are invited to attend an in-person interview, be prepared to encounter a panel interview, group interview, or several back-to-back one-on-one interviews. Furthermore, each interview focuses on behavioral questions and it's highly recommended (sometimes even required) that you answer using the STAR method.
