What Are the Types of the Year Up Aptitude Test?

The Aptitude Test is roughly divided into speed tests and power tests. Speed tests are usually offered to job applicants vying for administrative and clerical positions. Power tests are given to those who are competing for managerial and professional jobs. Most common among various aptitude tests are the Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, and Mechanical Reasoning.

What Kinds of the Verbal Reasoning Test Will I Have?

there are three basic types of the Verbal Reasoning Test. On the basic Verbal Reasoning Test, you will be asked to identify word analogies, complete sentences, or choose a synonym or antonym for an underlined word. The more complex kind of the test invites you to read a text and make logical conclusions about it. The most difficult kind of the Verbal Reasoning Test asks you to make a decision about a statement based on a written text that you will need to peruse within a very short period of time.

How Can I Prepare for the Year Up Personality Test?

You are expected to answer questions on the Personality Test honestly and off the cuff. This does not mean, however, that you should come to your examination without preparation. The Personality Test is long and thus may tire you. As your attention slackens, you may misunderstand questions and answer them wrongly. Although there are no correct or incorrect answers on the Personality Test, choosing an unintended answer may lead to self-misrepresentation. If you create a wrong self-image, you may not be invited for an interview once you complete your test. To avoid misrepresenting yourself on your examination, have a few dry runs with JobTestPrep’s practicing materials. Our personality tests supplied with detailed explanations and additional exercises will help you build an impressive personality profile and will pave the way for you to receive an invitation for a face-to-face interview with your company’s managers.

How is the SJT Scored?

Some graders base scores on a sliding scale, while other grade each test individually. When taking the test you will be presented with either singular remedies to office conflicts or rank various possible solutions from the most to least effective outcome. At the end of the day, however, there is no right answer in the technical sense of the term, and your tester will be responsible to judge the effectiveness of your solutions.

Why Does Year Up Use Assessment Tests & Interviews During Their Hiring Process?

Evaluating your skills and abilities can be difficult through your resume alone. This is where the Year Up pre-employment assessment tests and interviews come into play. Year Up is on the lookout for an applicant who can not only efficiently perform the duties of the job being offered, but also one who will be able to fit into the company’s culture and standards. Preparing yourself for the entire process beforehand will help give you an advantage over the other Year Up applicants.
