Prepare for US Steel's Tests

There are many different stages that you will need to pass throughout the US Steel pre-employment process prior to being considered for the position you have applied for. These steps are detailed below:

  • Application Process: Once you apply for a position in the Job Opportunities section of the website, your resume will be sent to a recruiter. A confirmation email will be sent once your application is received.
  • Assessment Tests: Depending on the role you are pursuing within the company, you may need to take a "Skills Assessment" in-person. You will be briefed prior to the test regarding when and where it will be taking place.
  • Phone Interview You may be contacted for a phone interview by a US Steel recruiting specialist who will follow up with you regarding your qualifications and interest in the position.
  • In-Person Interview: If you pass all of the previous stages in the US Steel hiring process, you will be invited to participate in an in-person interview. You will be able to select a time and date that works for you by registering through the email you will be sent.

To receive a final job offer after passing the previous stages of the employment process, be advised that you will be required to pass a background check and medical exam, including a physical and drug screening.
