United Airlines Hiring Process and Requirements

The prerequisites for United Airlines pilots are as follows:

  • Possess a four-year college degree
  • Possess a current and valid passport
  • Must be able to travel freely within the United States and without restriction to all countries United serves
  • Possess an unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with airplane multi-engine class rating
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (RR)
  • Have reached a minimum of 1,000 hours of fixed-wing turbine time
