Prepare for R1 RCM's Tests

The R1 RCM hiring process includes many different stages regardless of the role you are applying for. These stages often include:

  • Application Process: All applications must be completed online from the R1 RCM jobs page. To begin this process you will need to register a user account for the job search platform on the R1 RCM website.
  • Initial Interview: Once your application has passed the screening process you will be invited to either participate in a phone interview or web-based interview. The web-based interview could be a live or pre-recorded video interview.
  • Pre-Hire Exam: Depending on the role you are pursuing in the company, you may need to take one or more pre-employment assessments. These assessments will help the company understand your background and suitability for the position.
  • On-Site Interviews: If you have successfully passed all previous stages in the R1 RCM hiring process you will need to take part in one or more on-site interviews prior to being considered for the job being offered.

According to the R1 RCM website, all job offers will be contingent on the stages mentioned above, as well as a background check, drug screening, and health screening.

R1 RCM’s Aptitude Tests

The R1 RCM recruitment process will include one or more aptitude tests depending on the role you are pursuing to fill. These tests will often include a variety of psychometric-style tests, including mathematical and verbal reasoning, abstract reasoning, situational judgment, as well as a personality questionnaire.

The purpose of these assessments is to gain a better understanding of each candidate's skills and abilities, as well as their work personas. They will also gauge how quickly you will be able to learn and perform your new job and its responsibilities. Prior familiarization with these tests, their formats, and answers will definitively give you an advantage over other applicants. Start practicing today and pass your R1 RCM entrance exam.

R1 RCM’s Interview Questions

The interview process with R1 RCM will include both behavioral and situational-based interview questions. To pass your interviews it is recommended that you do thorough research on the company, know the role for which you have applied, and be specific and thorough in your responses. Below are several examples of questions you may be asked during your R1 RCM interviews:

  • What do you know about R1 RCM?
  • Describe a time when you solved an issue without a manager.
  • How would you handle a conflict between yourself and another member of staff?

We recommend using the STAR interview method when answering both behavioral and situational questions.
