Candidates interested in mechanical and/or technical positions with DuPont may be subject to taking the DuPont mechanical aptitude test. Such positions may include the following:

  • Lab Technician
  • Mechanical Technician
  • Chemical Process Operator
  • Process Mechanic
  • Electrical & Instrument Mechanic
  • Control Technician - CP/Power
  • Control Mechanic
  • Boiler Operator - the Bennett Mechanical Test (BMCT) is used for this position

DuPont Bennett Mechanical Test

Although many job positions at DuPont will encounter general mechanical tests, operators specifically, will more than likely encounter the Bennett Mechanical test.

The Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT), developed by Pearson Assessments, is used to measure a candidate’s aptitude for understanding and applying mechanical principles.

Depending on the version that you receive, you will either encounter 68 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 30 minutes or 55 multiple-choice questions which are to be completed within 25 minutes.
