GM Interview Questions and Application Process

General Motors offers a variety of professional positions including assembly line workers, engineers, and supervisory roles. The application process for each position is adapted to the skills required for that particular job. General Motors' pre-employment assessment tests are administered by Development Dimensions International (DDI). GM invites every applicant to at least two interviews, one of which is held over the phone. During these interviews, the applicant is asked about his/her previous work experience, work attitudes, and how he/she would handle general situations relevant to their desired job. GM interviews usually include an integrity test aimed at assessing an applicant's loyalty to his/her employer.

In addition, each applicant is requested to take a personality test with a few situational judgment questions thrown in. The goal of this test is to evaluate each applicant's character, behavior, and his/her match to the job and the company.
