What to Expect on the Aptean Aptitude Test?

The most commonly used aptitude test by Aptean is the CCAT, which stands for Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test. You'll likely need to take the CCAT twice, when the second test will be proctored to verify your score on the first one.

The CCAT is comprised of 50 questions to be answered in 15 minutes and covers the following topics: Numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and verbal ability, spatial reasoning, and logic.

Watch the video below to see a quick overview of the CCAT and a few sample questions:

Additional Assessments: As part of the interview process you may be required to take one or more additional pre-hire tests depending on the position you have applied for. These tests might include personality and coding assessments.

What to Expect on the Aptean Hiring Process?

Here are the different stages of the recruitment process:

  • Application Process: To begin the hiring process you will need to select a position from the Aptean website and apply.
  • Aptitude Tests: If your application and resume pass the screening process for the role you have chosen to pursue within the company, you will be requested to take a series of cognitive ability, personality, and general aptitude tests. The most common is the famous CCAT test.
  • Telephone Interview: After having taken and passed the initial assessment tests, you will be contacted to participate in a phone interview. As you will be asked questions regarding your previous experience it is best to know your resume inside and out.
  • In-Person Interviews: Depending on the position you have applied for, you may need to participate in one or more interviews. The first round of interviews will be held with an internal recruiter for the company which will then be followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Additional interviews may be required for more senior roles.

Aptean’s Interview Questions

After passing your entrance exam or exams you will go through one or more interview rounds. The interview process will include a series of questions regarding your previous experience, technical questions specific to your field and the position you applied for, as well as behavioral-based questions.

Below you will find several examples of questions you may be required to answer:

  • Why would you like to work for Aptean?
  • What interests you about the position you applied for?
  • Tell me about how you worked effectively under pressure.
  • From the description of this position, what do you think you will be doing on a day-to-day basis?

It is recommended that you use the STAR based method when answering behavioral questions as it will help keep your responses engaging and organized.

Also, remember to answer the interview questions with Aptean's culture and values in mind. Read more about these values on Aptean's page.
