About Wonderlic Te Scores

Every company and position have its own minimum passing score for its pre-employment assessment tests including companies and organizations that use various Wonderlic assessment tests. Wonderlic provides an array of tests, but the most popular test is the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability—Personnel test.

The Wonderlic Cognitive Ability—Personnel Test is designed to assess an applicant's ability to learn, adapt, solve problems, and understand instructions. There are two versions of this test, the Quicktest (WPT-Q), which consists of 30 questions and has an eight-minute time limit, and the full-length Personnel Test (WPT-R), which consists of 50 questions and has a 12-minute time limit.

This test requires candidates to demonstrate strong analytic skills, quick response times, and good decision-making abilities.

Wonderlic Tests

Although the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability—Personnel test is the most popular pre-employment assessment test, some companies use other popular Wonderlic tests.

The Wonderlic Basic Skills Test

The Wonderlic Basic Skills Test is an exam which measures basic math and verbal skills. Both the math and verbal tests are 20 minutes long and are mainly used to highlight a candidate’s work readiness.

The Wonderlic General Assessment Test (GAIN)

The Wonderlic General Assessment Test (GAIN) tests students' basic math and verbal skills and is used for adult education, work readiness, remedial literacy, training and tutoring, and GED prep. The GAIN consists of 80 English skills questions and 75 math skills questions. Both sections are to be completed within 45 minutes, making the entire test 90 minutes long.

The Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE)

The Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE), a cognitive ability test, is typically used by students seeking entrance into an educational program. However, the main purpose is to assess how quickly and thoroughly students can understand instructions, and learn and comprehend new material. The Wonderlic SLE starts with easy questions and increases in difficulty as the test progresses.

The Wonderlic SLE is a proctored on-site exam that consists of 50 questions which are to be completed within 12 minutes.
