The Klarna Logical Reasoning Test is a version of the logical next in series test that looks at soft skills like information evaluation, snap judgment calls, and attention to nitty-gritty details. As the old saying goes, the devil is in the details.
Instead of facing familiar verbal, written, or mathematical questions that accompany most pre-hire tests, you will be tasked with searching for the logical patterns contained within shape sequences and then completing them in a “next in series” format.
Let’s briefly review some of the terms you will need to know and provide some context into the test breakdown.
Here are two key terms you need to understand, or you will not be able to answer the question.
Shape: When you see the term “shape” you have to look out for individual circles and squares, which will be presented in black.
Figure: A figure is more expansive than a shape because it represents the combination of a number of shapes to create a larger figure.
Figure: A figure is more expansive than a shape because it represents the combination of a number of shapes to create a larger figure.
There are five primary types of “movements” upon which the questions on the text are based. Here are brief explanations of each question type, which will be followed by a couple of test examples.
Rotation: While the rotation can go either clockwise or counterclockwise, it is important to note that it may relate to figures, the entire frame, or sometimes both.
Encirclement: Shapes will exist on end and come back on its polar opposite, thus encircling from behind.
Growing or diminishing in motion: No matter which direction the Figure is moving, its included shapes either grow or diminish.
Snake: The figures move throughout the frame just like the game we play on our mobile devices.
Merging and Dividing: Multiple black shapes merging become white, while at separation restore to black.

Question 1:
Explanation
The correct answer is (D).
In this series, a diagonal composed of small squares is filled in each frame, alternating between grey and black colors.
The filling starts at the top-left square and goes downwards (diagonally). Since the last diagonal line filled in was grey,
the answer will contain one additional black diagonal row.
Following this pattern, the next frame should be the one in answer-option (D).
Question 2:
So, now it’s time to start prepping for your Klarna Logical Thinking Test.
We provide you with an accurate guide and practice test that covers not only every aspect of the test but allows you to practice under real test conditions. Our goal is for you to get to the correct answer every time!
Now that you have a solid overview of the test, let's look at the Klarna hiring process, consisting of:
Understanding the application process will make you an even more serious candidate.
After you submit your application via the Klarna job board, you will be invited to take your first logical test. This step is an integral part of the hiring process, no matter the position you are applying for.
Remember, the Klarna logic test does not utilize either numerical or verbal information; instead, your ability to evaluate information and make judgments or decisions is tested via shape sequences and the logical patterns they represent.
This is your first chance to make an impression. The goal is for Klarna to gain a better understanding of where you truly fit in their pipeline and for you to ask as many questions regarding how they operate.
This is your opportunity to impress by showing genuine interest in the company.
Next, you will be administered a second logical test similar to the first.
The questions and framework of your first interview will very much depend on the position you are applying for. For instance, if you applied for an engineering position, questions will focus on coding and specific aspects of the job.
In addition, you also might be asked to take a coding test. FYI, as a hint, Kattis has a number of tutorials on their site, so be sure to check them out by clicking here.
No matter what kind of interview you have, it's imperative that you become familiar with the eight Klarna Leadership Principles.
Here are the eight primary leadership principles at Klarna, which you should internalize before the first interview.
It is important to remember that each of these principles was not developed out of crises but rather at a time of 40% year-on-year growth.
These principles are used as a guide to ensure that the company will never become bogged down with bureaucracy, which can hinder growth.

This second round of interviews dives deep into the specific roles you will play within your team. You will be grilled on your skillset, and you will also get an opportunity to talk to some team members. Remember, they are, in a sense, part of your interview, so speak with them wisely.
Congratulations, you will receive an offer to work at Klarna, meet the full team, get a start date, and receive a comprehensive briefing on the technical aspects of the job.
