What Is the Personality Test?

The Personality Test is a self-report questionnaire that evaluates your personality traits and your behavioral style. It measures not all aspects of your personality but only those that are pertinent to your handling of your responsibilities in a workplace. What is peculiar about the Personality Test is that all questions on it are covert; that is, when you read a particular question, you will not know what exactly it estimates. The test is so constructed that employers draw conclusions about your future performance at work from seemingly unrelated facts about your behavior in some other areas of your life. After you have answered about 200 questions, employees will build your personality profile based on your answers. Your personality profile is thought to be a reliable prediction of how you will perform at work and how you will fulfill different task in your work-place. Unlike many aptitude tests, the Personality Test does not have right or wrong answers. Nor is it timed. You may take up to 3 hours to complete the personality questionnaire.   


HCA’s Recruitment Process

The recruitment process at HCA is not complicated but it still has different stages:

  • Once you apply online, you will receive a link to the Personality Test online. It contains more than 200 questions and has no time limit. You may take as much time as you need completing it at home.
  • When your answers on the Personality Test have been analyzed and your personality profile has been constructed, you will be invited for a phone interview with a Human Resources representative.  
  • Another phone interview may follow. Prepare to answer questions about your education and work experience. Other questions may be competency-based. Rach phone interview may take from 30-45 minutes.
  • For some positions, a video interview may be required. After you have completed your Personality Test, recruiters may send you a link to the Montage website. Your task will be to upload an introductory video of yourself. You will also need to record video responses to 7 or 10 questions. If you are applying for a position of a nurse, you will have questions about nursing.
  • Provided your phone interview goes well, you will have several in-person interviews. You will have a conversation with a Human Resources manager and managers of different departments. They will tell you in detail about the hospital and its mission. Expect questions about your educational background, working experience, and competency-based questions. Depending on the position for which you applied, managers may also ask you technical questions. Your second interview may take the form of a panel. You may have a conversation with four or five HCA’s employers. They will ask you general and technical questions. The face-to-face interviews may take up half of the day. If you pass all interviews well, you may be given a job offer.
