What's included in our Firefighter I PrepPack?
We've created a comprehensive Firefighter I prep course designed to help you succeed. Our course closely mirrors the actual certification exam's content and format, allowing you to identify and improve your weaker areas. With this focused preparation, you'll be confident and ready to excel on test day.
Why preparation matters: the Firefighter I written exam is strictly timed, typically 100 questions in 2 hours, administered in person at a state-approved testing location with no notes or outside materials permitted. There's no pausing the clock to think through a hose-lay calculation or recall a hazmat placard system on the spot. Our practice tests are timed to match those same real conditions, so when test day comes, the pressure of the countdown and the unfamiliar testing environment won't be something you're feeling for the first time.

It also includes two full-length simulations of 100 questions each, timed to match the scope and difficulty of the real certification exam, along with detailed answer explanations throughout.
No. This PrepPack is designed specifically for the written knowledge exam. Firefighter I certification also requires a separate hands-on practical skills evaluation, which is assessed in person by state-approved evaluators and can't be practiced through an online study guide. Our materials focus on building the knowledge base you'll be tested on in the written portion.
We recommend starting at least two to three weeks before your exam date. Begin with the topic-specific practice tests to build your knowledge base, then move to the full-length simulations closer to test day to build stamina and get comfortable with timed conditions.
