Hi,
People ask me this a lot lately. Harver and Pymetrics started out as two different companies. Pymetrics built its name around the 12 game-based behavioral assessments. Harver offered a wider set of hiring and decision-making tools.
In 2022, Harver bought Pymetrics. Since then, the two have been merged into one platform. For candidates, that means if you are invited to take a Harver assessment, it may include the exact same Pymetrics games.
The games themselves have not changed. They still look and feel the same, and they still measure things like attention, emotional control, willingness to take risks, learning speed, and decision-making style. What has changed is how the results are used. Harver now connects those game results with other parts of the hiring process, giving employers more ways to understand how you might fit the role.
So if you start a Harver assessment and it looks like the Pymetrics games, that is because it is. The difference is mostly on the employer’s side, in how they combine the results with other tools to make their decision.
From my experience, for the candidate, the best approach is the same: stay calm, play naturally, and let the results reflect who you really are.
