An accounts payable clerk is responsible for paying the bills of a business enterprise, in addition to maintaining all payments, transactions, and records. Accounts payable clerks are responsible for compiling debt invoices owed by various companies, vendors, or suppliers. However, if the business has a large accounting staffs then some of the responsibilities fall under other account positions.
