The Hiring Process at Latam

Depending on what you apply for, the hiring process can take up to 3 weeks. Apart from the specific tests, you’ll have to do, for your specific job, there are also a number of general tests that will be conducted to assess your other skills like:

  • Attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage workload, and complete projects timely within deadlines, without sacrificing quality

 

The Interviews at Latam

There are a series of interviews through which you will have to go. They include:

  • A phone interview with the HR manager (or with an agency). These are typically 30-40 minutes long and are primarily there to assess your personality and go over your resume.
  • Face-to-face interviews with HR, the direct supervisor, and a higher supervisor.
  • A group interview with 30-40 people simultaneously at the end of which, about 10 people remain.
  • Skype interviews, if you are unable to travel to the place of the interview.

 

The Tests at Latam

Latam requires you to pass several tests:

  • The most important one is the Wonderlic test, which in itself has several subtests. It has the Cognitive Ability Test which has 50 questions and must be completed within 12 minutes (that’s 14 seconds per question). It requires strong analytical skills, quick response times and excellent decision making under pressure. Another test is the Basic Skills Test, which is a short exam of basic verbal and quantitative skills. It has 50 questions for the verbal part and 45 questions for the quantitative part. 20 minutes will be allocated for the test.
  • An Online assessment which includes: assessing your skills, conducting a personality test and assessing your IQ. This could take 2 hours.
  • There will be an English written exam which will assess your knowledge of the English language
  • An analytical assessment
  • A mathematics test, to see your level of mathematics
