Raising Cane’s Interview Prep

Raising Cane’s interviews are not just designed to test your book knowledge or to better understand your previous work performance. Your interviewer will also be interested to learn about your personality and how you might meld with the company and the team that you will be working with. It is for this reason that Raising Cane’s may necessitate several rounds of interviews, so varying levels of management can get a grasp of who you are and what you can do for the company.

Interview Tips

Here are some useful tips before sitting down in the hot seat.

  • Research: Gaining a true understanding of the type of company you plan to work for will go a long way in showing your passion and excitement for the company. Many people fail in this crucial aspect of interview preparation. Make sure that you know factors like the company’s primary clientele, their product line, company culture, and competitors.
  • Dress: Now that you understand what the company is about, its time to dress for success. Dressing up must be done in an appropriate way, however. One would not walk into an investment interview wearing a button down polo and jeans, as one would not walk into a restaurant position in a suit and tie unless of course, it was a corporate position. Looking at the company culture and atmosphere will give a good clue of how to dress for the interview.
  • Body Language: Confidence is key during an interview. Make sure you maintain solid eye contact (just not a creepy way), get your sitting posture right, and make sure your handshake is as solid as ever.
