What to Expect on Sparks’s Interview

The interview process for many companies has become very involved in the last decade or so. You will be met with a series of interviews, whether they be held over the phone, via video, one-on-one, or face-to-face with a panel or group. You should be prepared for each type of interview as well as the types of questions you will encounter during each in order to successfully pass the process.

How Are the Sparks Aptitude Test Scores Calculated?

Aptitude tests are generally scored by taking your raw score and comparing it to the other applicants’ scores. These scores are then compared to the overall benchmark score. If your score meets the Sparks workplace guidelines and standards, you are more likely to be offered the position.

How Is the Verbal Test Scored?

Scores on the Verbal Reasoning Test are not calculated according to the number of questions answered correctly. Your raw score is not important, therefore. What is important is how well you do on your test comparatively to others, because your final score is calculated against the scores of all applicants who are either competing with you now or already working in positions similar to the one for which you applied. This is not the altogether good news for applicants, since they may lose, even if they get most of the questions right but are still outperformed by other candidates. Because your scores are evaluated relatively to the scores of your competitors, it is risky to come to your pre-employment assessment without practicing at home. Avail yourself of a brilliant opportunity to study with JobTestPrep’s resources and outmatch others who are competing with you.

What Is an SJT?

Situational Judgement Tests (SJT) are psychological assessments where you are presented with hypothetical, yet realistic, scenarios related to the job in which you are applying. SJTs have become a popular tool used by assessment companies, employers, and organizations to evaluate the behavioral and cognitive abilities of candidates when introduced with daily work-related situations.

Can Past Interview Experience Help Me?

Yes! Keep a diary or log of your interviews regarding questions, responses and the flow of the conversations. Perhaps there is a question you receive often that you could have answered differently? Perhaps the interviewer gave you a signal to stop talking or to keep talking that you missed? Study you past successes and failures and keep trucking.

What Should I Expect During the Sparks Hiring Process?

Once you have submitted your application and it has been screened by Sparks you will most likely receive a phone call for an interview. Many companies require their applicants to go through a series of interviews and assessments prior to considering them for the position. The number of interviews and pre-hire assessments you will need to go through will be entirely dependent upon the type of job you have applied for. With this in mind, please know that the Sparks hiring process can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.
