The Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test is created to evaluate your ability to learn, adapt to difficult circumstances, solve problems, and understand written instructions. The test is of two kinds: the Wonderlic Personnel Test – Quicktest (WPT-Q) and the Wonderlic Personnel Test – Revised (WPT-R).
The Wonderlic Personnel Test – Quicktest (WPT-Q) is a short version of the test. Employers at Catalent ask applicants to take this test to determine whether they want to invite them for the interview. Or they may use it as an orientation test. The test contains 30 questions, which you will need to answer within 8 minutes.
The Wonderlic Personnel Test – Revised (WPT-R) measures how well job applicants acquire knowledge, solve problems, and understand instructions. This version of the test contains 50 questions, which you will need to answer within 12 minutes. That is, you will be given only 14 seconds to answer each question. Questions asked on the test are posed to estimate applicants’ knowledge in mathematics, language, and logic. Their general knowledge is evaluated as well. In the mathematics section, you will find questions about analogies, similarities, number series, and complex mathematical problems. The language part estimates job candidates’ vocabulary, knowledge of grammar and sentence structure, and their understanding of English idioms. A percentage division of 50 questions that you will meet on the Wonderlic Personnel Test is this: math questions take up 40%, language questions 40%, logic questions 10%, general knowledge questions 5%, and clerical questions 5%.
There are several types of interviews at Catalent Pharma. Initially, you will get a phone call from the company’s hiring manager who will ask you about your previous work experience and career goals. If you are successful on the Wonderlic Personnel Test, you will be invited for in-person interview that may take a form of a panel. On the face-to-face interview, you may have a conversation simultaneously with a hiring manager and team leaders. They will ask you situational and behavioral questions.
