David Weekley Homes Assessment Tests

Some of the assessments you will most likely need to pass in the David Weekley recruitment process are the Wonderlic and Berke personality tests.

David Weekley Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test

The Wonderlic Cognitive Test consists of two versions– the "pretest" (the Quicktest, also known as the WPT-Q), and the full-length version (the Personnel Test, also known as the WPT-R).

This test is designed to assess an applicant's ability to learn, adapt, solve problems, and understand instructions. It measures your verbal and math skills through questions that test vocabulary and grammar skills, sentence structuring, number series, and complex mathematical word problems.

The Wonderlic Personnel Test-Revised, also known as the Contemporary Cognitive Ability Test, consists of 50 questions and must be completed within 12 minutes. To answer all the questions within the time limit, it is imperative that you hone your analytical skills, quick response times, and decision–making skills.

The Wonderlic Personnel Quicktest (WPT-Q), also known as the Wonderlic Pretest, is the shortened version of the Wonderlic Personnel Test–Revised (WPT–R). This condensed version consists of 30 questions which are to be completed within 8 minutes.

Personality Test

Berke personality tests evaluate your suitability not only for the role to which you are applying, but to the company as a whole.

Personality tests can highlight your professional strengths and weaknesses, as well as provide employers with insight into your personality that they may not glean from an interview. For example, you may be able to demonstrate your leadership or management skills via personality tests even if you are not applying for a managerial position.

Why Do Employers Use the Personality Test?

Employers want to ensure that they hire not only experts in their fields but also people with pleasant personalities. Being a good fit for the company is a quality that is as important for performing one’s job well as professionalism. With this in mind, employers ask their prospective employees to pass the Personality Test. This test is created to estimate whether job candidate do not have such counterproductive tendencies as time wasting, cheating, or showing aggression. There are usually two types of questions posed on the Personality Test. You will be asked either to evaluate people’s reactions to specified situations or rank your own attitude toward certain actions performed in workplaces. Based on your answers, employers will be able to build a fairly accurate profile of your personality.

Why is There a Phone Interview?

After receiving your resume, the company now begins the process of weeding out those who might be the right match for the job. They want to put you on the spot to see if you verbal answers match your written resume. The conversation will generally last no longer than 5-10 minutes and they will give you an overview of the position and compensation offered.

How Are JobTestPrep’s Materials Different from Other Resources Met on Internet?

JobTestPrep always carefully researches on a given company and its hiring process. It aims to create tests most closely approximating to the company’s real tests. So thoughtfully developed, our tests do not only give you a clear idea of the test’s format but also familiarize you with questions that you will be asked on your test. Even if you take the pre-employment test for the first time, you will feel familiar with its questions and will know answers to them, after you have practiced with our test simulations and drills. We also often put into our PrepPacks™ additional materials so that you can bring your knowledge of the subject to even higher level. As a testimony to our thoughtful research and dedication to helping people get hired, the majority of applicants who prepared for the examination with our materials receive a job offer.

What Does a Hiring Process Usually Involve?

In many companies, a hiring process is complex and involves several stages. First, you need to upload your résumé and other recommendations onto the company’s website. After your résumé has been screened, you will be scheduled for a phone interview with a Human Resources manager. If you create a favorable impression during the phone interview, you will be invited to take one of the company’s tests, including a personality assessment. Provided you have excelled on your test, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview held in one of the company’s location. If the company decides to hire you, you may be asked to have a background check, after which you may be offered a position.
