Becoming familiar with different types of spatial thinking can enhance your skills and help you develop strategies for faster and more accurate performance in the real test.

Tolko Bennet Mechanical Comprehension Test

The Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT) is a popular assessment used in several fields, including technical and industrial occupations. The test was developed to measure a person’s aptitude for understanding and applying mechanical principles. From this, an employer may infer future performance in jobs that require these skills. There are two versions of the BMCT: BMCT and BMCT II. The BMCT consists of 68 multiple-choice questions and has a 30-minute time limit. The BMCT II consists of 55 multiple-choice questions and has a 25-minute time limit.

Tolko Mathematical Reasoning Test

Mathematical Reasoning tests are used by Tolko as a way to determine your mathematical abilities, some of which you may not have used in years. Our in-depth PrepPacks™ will not only help you brush up on these latent skills, but also expose you to the questions you will most likely encounter during your employment assessments.

The Tolko Verbal Reasoning Test

The Verbal Reasoning Test – This test assesses job applicants’ ability to comprehend written material and draw relevant logical conclusion from it using verbal concepts. A type of an aptitude test, the Verbal Reasoning Test measures how well candidates can differentiate between important and secondary information given in written tests and how well they understand verbal logic. As a rule, the test presents applicants with several extracts from written texts followed by a list of statements about the information contained in them. Your task is to identify a truth-value of these statement relative to what you have just read. Depending on the relation of a given proposition to truth, you will need to mark each statement either as “True,” or “False,” or “Indeterminate,” if there is not enough data to judge its validity. The Verbal Reasoning Test is timed and demands close attention from job applicants.

Tolko Abstract Reasoning Online Assessments

The abstract reasoning test are also known as inductive or diagrammatic reasoning and assess general intellect rather than text book knowledge. When administering this test, Tolko will be looking to see how you relate to new concepts and abstract ideas and can be used to assess a wide range of positions within the company. So, be creative, quick and use your fluid intelligence to solve the issues you will be confronted with on the test.

Why Does Tolko Use Pre-Hire Aptitude Tests?

Most companies administer some sort of pre-employment aptitude tests, and Tolko is no exception. These tests were designed in order to give your interviewers insight into a number of workplace competencies. These tests are often scored by taking your raw score and comparing it to that of other the candidates, then comparing all scores to the benchmark score. If your profile happens to be a match with the company’s standards, you may end up being offered the job.

At What Point in the Tolko Hiring Process Will the BMCT-style test be Administered?

Upon filling out your job application and receiving a screening call or possibly a in person face to face with HR, you will be invited to take the BMCT -style test among other exams. The tests will examine not only your technical ability, but personality and ability to mesh into the company culture (important these days.) Upon successfully passing the test you will move on to the interview stages with managers and possible C-Levels (position depending) and from there hopefully a job offer.
