Sales Support Representative Process
Phone Screening: Like so many other companies, this is the first stop. HR will make sure that you have everything in order and are at least on a paper a possible fit.
Video Interview: The first proper interview will come in the form of the video interview. This will allow the interviewer to get a sense of how you will interact with the client via video, which is becoming more commonplace today. Remember body language and eye contact is super important.
Panel Interview: The company utilizes a panel interview to put you on the spot and to see how you can handle multiple interactions at the same time. You will not get too many curveball questions, but questions will be asked quickly, so make sure your answers are succinct answers. The most important thing to remember to try to create discussions, as this will slow down the questioning and give you room to breathe.
Beat the lines of job seekers by coming completely prepared for every segment of the Tech Data Corporation hiring process. Pre-hire exams and interviews will be a breeze.
Here are a couple of tips that you should keep in mind before the interview:
Body Language: After the 20-minute point, many people start to become comfortable and let their guard down during an interview. Remember to sit straight (confidence); maintain face contact and not direct eye contact (direct eye to eye can be too intense); use your hands (this show passion and automation); Nod your head while listening (this shows you are actively listening.)
Research: Make sure you have really researched the company and you truly understand what it is they do, what their position is in the general market, who their competitors are and their core values. The more you know about the company the more questions you can develop and show a true interest during the interview.
Your Phone: Silence it and keep it out of sight during the entirety of the interview. Even glancing at your phone will come off as rude and show your lack of interest in the job. They are taking time out of their day and you should respect that. Lastly, if you will be running late use your phone to make a quick curtsy call, this can buy you a15-20 minutes (but do not abuse it.)
