Paycom Hiring Process

The Paycom hiring and recruitment process consists of the following stages:

  • Interviews– You will undergo multiple interviews during the Paycom hiring process. Depending upon the position for which you are applying, you may be asked to complete a phone interview, in–person interview, Facetime interview, or a presentation interview.   • Assessments– Paycom utilizes a variety of pre-employment assessment tests to ensure that they are hiring the most competent employees. These assessments are outlined below.

Paycom Assessment Tests

Paycom utilizes pre-employment assessment tests in its hiring and recruitment processes to ensure that they are hiring the most qualified and compatible candidates. Depending on the position and the level of the job for which you are applying, you may encounter one or both of the following exams.

Personality Test

Personality tests can highlight your professional strengths and weaknesses, in addition to providing employers with insight into your personality that they may not glean from an interview. For example, you may be able to demonstrate your leadership or management skills via personality tests even if you are not applying for a managerial position.


The Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test

The Wonderlic Cognitive Ability–Personnel Test consists of two versions—the Quicktest (WPT-Q) and the full-length Personnel Test (WPT-R).

Both tests are designed to assess an applicant's ability to learn, adapt, solve problems, and understand instructions. The tests measure your verbal and math skills through questions that test vocabulary and grammar skills, sentence structuring, number series, and complex mathematical word problems, and more.

The Wonderlic Personnel Test-Revised (WPT-R) consists of 50 questions and must be completed within 12 minutes. To answer all the questions within the time limit, it is imperative that you hone your analytical skills, quick response times, and decision-making skills. 

The Wonderlic Personnel Quicktest (WPT-Q), also known as the Wonderlic Pretest, is the shortened version of the Wonderlic Personnel Test-R (WPT-R). This condensed version consists of 30 questions which are to be completed within 8 minutes.
