What Is the Immigration Enforcement Agent Test?

To become an ICE Immigration Enforcement Agent (IEA), you must pass the IEA assessment test. IEA agents are the uniformed presence of immigration enforcement within the U.S. interior. IEAs perform enforcement functions related to the investigation, identification, arrest, prosecution, detention, and deportation of aliens. IEAs assist in the processing and removal of aliens to their country of origin.

What Do Those Who Score High Receive?

Scoring high on the exam increases your chances of gaining the position of Immigration Enforcement Agent. IEAs receive an attractive benefits package, including a Thrift Savings Plan, a health plan, a law enforcement retirement plan, and an optional, flexible life insurance plan.

What Are the Challenges to Passing?

The Immigration Enforcement Agent test is a logical reasoning test. You must receive a score of 70% to pass the test. You will only move on in the hiring process if you pass the exam, so it is extremely important to do well.
