About Halma's PrepPacks™

Halma's Cubiks Tests

Halma asks its job applicants to take various Cubiks Assessments before inviting them for an interview. As a part of your pre-employment assessment, you may be required to pass either the Ability Test (Intermediate or Advanced Logiks Assessments), the Personality Assessments (PAPI, Cubiks Factors), or the Situational Judgement Test (STJ).


The Halma Cubiks Ability Test

This test consists of two levels—Intermediate and Advanced—of Logiks Assessment. It is a good measurement of how you process different types of information—numerical, verbal, and abstract. There are 50 questions on the test that are unequally divided into three sections. The Verbal section has 24 question, while the Numerical contains only 16. The rest 10 questions are in the Abstract section.


The Halma Cubiks Personality Assessment

This test can be of two types: the Personality and Preference Inventory (PAPI) and Cubiks Factors.

The PAPI assesses a job candidate's personality and preferred working style and helps Halma's managers identify and select the right person for an applied position. It focuses on 22 work personality dimensions divided into such key areas as

  • Engagement
  • Impact and Drive
  • Organization
  • Structure Interaction
  • Work Momentum
  • Composure

There is no time limit on the Personality and Preference Inventory Test, though approximately it takes 30-35 minutes to answer all its questions.

Cubiks Personality Questionnaires (Cubiks Factors) explore what work style you prefer and what motivates your performance at work. On this test, you will need to rate your agreement or disagreement with a given statement on seven scales. The test takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.


The Situational Judgement Test (SJT)

The SJT estimates whether you are suitable for the applied position based on how you respond to certain decision-making scenarios. On the test, you will be presented with brief descriptions of situations that you may face at work. You will also be asked to analyze a list of possible actions that you may take in response to these situations. You will be required either to rate or rank the effectiveness of the given responses.
