JobTestPrep’s Gail PrepPacks™

Our preparation packs offer detailed guides and other training materials to help you pass all the stages of your Gail recruitment process.

Gail Situational Judgement Tests

The scenarios presented on SJTs always ask for a resolution of a given conflict which, although being hypothetical, might very much rely on, or represent, realistic situations that occur in a workplace. You will then be asked to choose a preferred method of action out of a number of possible options. You are encouraged to choose your responses spontaneously, based on intuition; however, analyzing the scenarios and choosing responses that highlight your skills will allow you to better present yourself on the test.

Gail Mathematical Reasoning Tests

Mathematical Reasoning tests are used by Gail as a way to determine your mathematical abilities, some of which you may not have used in years. Our in-depth PrepPacks™ will not only help you brush up on these latent skills, but also expose you to the questions you will most likely encounter during your employment assessments.

Gail SJT

Situational judgment tests (SJTs) are a popular psychological tool used by assessment companies, employers, and organizations to evaluate applicants' behavioral and cognitive abilities when introduced with hypothetical, daily work-related situations. SJTs do not consist of one uniform format and do not focus on strict criteria, but rather they serve as a tailored evaluation tool for a variety of positions and business sectors. Therefore, different companies and diverse positions within an organization require different questions and formats.

Gail Verbal Reasoning Tests

The Verbal Reasoning Test – This test is a variety of aptitude assessment that estimates how well job candidates understand and analyze written information. It measures whether they can follow a text’s argumentative verbal logic and discriminate between important and secondary information presented in it. Their understanding of the text’s general meaning is estimated as well. On the Verbal Reasoning Test, job candidates are asked to read several short passages and judge a truth-value of statements that immediately follow them. After you have identified the relation of each proposition to truth, you will be required to mark these statements either as “True” or “False.” There are also statements whose truth-value is impossible to assess due to the insufficiency of information presented in the text. If this is the case, you will need to mark a statement under consideration as “Indeterminate.” The Verbal Reasoning Test is timed; no extra time is given to those who have not finished it within a prescribed time limit.

Gail Interview

Preparing for an interview can be difficult as companies devise new techniques and questions to knock you off your kilter. HR managers want to know how you are going to handle criticism in the moment by trying to use scare tactics (i.e. no smiles during the interview), using the stress interview (i.e. rapid-fire questioning) or by using the classic weakness question. First understand that the interviewer is not out to get you, but to find the best candidate who can “take the heat”. Don’t get nervous, bring your “A Game” with our interview PrepPack™ and be ready for any interview scenario.

Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Verbal Reasoning Test Scored?

Most of the Verbal Reasoning tests do not have a predetermined passing score. Your score is calculated in relation to the scores of other applicants who are vying for similar positions. The number of your correct answers, called the raw score, as compared to raw scores of people applying for a position in your area. Such a calculating method can sometimes be disadvantageous since your correct answers would not necessary bespeak good results. Even if you answer correctly 27 out of 30 questions, your test will not be deemed successful, if it turns out that other job candidates answered 29 questions correctly. If most of the test takers get more questions right than you do, this means that your score on the Verbal Reasoning Test is lower than the average result of your competitors.

How Can JobTestPrep Help Me to Prepare for My Gail Mathematical Reasoning Tests?

Practicing is the best way to prepare for any test. This is especially true for numerical reasoning tests where concepts you haven’t used or even seen in years are bound to come up. Mathematical reasoning questions are easy to find, but getting the answers to check your work and see where you need improvement is key! Our practice packs include answers and explanations to make sure you are fully prepared for test day. Seeing the questions in the right format can make all difference in your test performance.

What is a SJT?

Situational Judgement Tests (SJT) are psychological assessments where you are presented with hypothetical, yet realistic, scenarios related to the job in which you are applying. SJTs have become a popular tool used by assessment companies, employers, and organizations to evaluate the behavioral and cognitive abilities of candidates when introduced with daily work-related situations.
