CRA Competency-Based Situational Test

The Competency-Based Situational Multiple Choice Test (CBS-MCT) assesses up to level 2 of the following five competencies: Adaptability; Service Excellence; Dealing with Difficult Interactions; Effective Interactive Communication; and Teamwork and Cooperation. The definitions of these competencies can be found in the Canada Revenue Agency competencies.

The CRA CBS-MCT consists of 96 questions and has a time limit of 90 minutes.

Canada Revenue Agency's hiring process consists a few stages. After creating your candidate profile you will be required to complete and pass a skills test to be considered for an interview. Recruiters will send invitations by email to candidates selected to test.

Using the information on the email invitation, register for and take the test. If you successfully pass all required skills tests, a recruiter will evaluate your submission for further advancement.

Your test results will remain valid indefinitely, provided the standards do not change.
