Our practice materials include the Engineering Assessment and the Numerical and Logical Reasoning Tests designed to improve your knowledge of engineering concepts and operations behind them. Practice with our resources and show to your employers that, hired as a Chemical Engineer, you will make significant advancements in their business.
A usual workplace for chemical engineers is laboratories and offices. Yet they also work at refineries and industrial plans, especially when they are called upon to oversee practical operations. Depending on the project in which they are involved, chemical engineers also work in tandem with designers, technicians, and mechanics.
Different fields benefit from the research and experiments conducted by chemical engineers. If you are searching for the employment as a chemical engineer, your best chances to be hired are in chemical manufacturing and in the field of engineering services. You can also do research in the engineering, physical, and life sciences. Others spheres that employ chemical engineers are synthetic rubber and artificial synthetic fibers and filaments manufacturing along with coal products and petroleum manufacturing.
There are many qualities desirable in experts in chemical engineering. The most important among them are the following:
In order to work as a Chemical Engineer, you need to have one of the following certificates:
Note that you can take the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam after you have received your bachelor’s degree. When you pass this exam, you will be referred to as an engineer in training. When you work for a certain number of years and gain relevant experience in the field, you will be allowed to take yet another exam called the Principles and Practice of Engineering.
JobTestPrep has compiled a sophisticated PrepPack™ that contains materials specifically created to prepare you for the engineering exam and the engineering position. We have also put there the Numerical Reasoning and the Logic Reasoning test to help you improve your logic and the precision of your calculations, since mathematical skills are highly important for engineers. To assist you further in your pre-hire assessment, we added to our materials interview questions and answers along with suggestions about proper behavior during your forthcoming interview. If you practice with our test simulations and interview kit, you will outperform other job candidates for the position of the Chemical Engineer.
Purchase our high-quality, smartly designed resources, practice before you set foot in your examination and interview rooms, and receive an appointment letter for the Chemical Engineer position.

The influence that chemical engineers make on the world has a wide scope. They help generate energy, clean water, recycle products and have a considerable impact in many fields: environment, energy, biomedicine, electronics, materials, paper, and food production. Thus, if they work in the food industry, chemical engineers improve techniques of food processing and develop new methods of fertilizers. When working in the manufacturing field, they improve the quality of fabrics and make drugs cheaper and more effective, when researching for pharmaceutical companies. Chemical engineers may also contribute to refining petroleum products and solving environmental problems.
In addition to solving environmental problems, chemical engineers also solve problems related to the production of chemicals, fuel, drugs, and food by using the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and math. They plan and then test how products are produced, what methods are used in their production, study byproducts created in the process, design equipment, and supervise operations.
In most of the workplaces, chemical engineers are expected to conduct research and develop new manufacturing processes. They use different chemical processes, say, to generate electrical currents and separate liquids and gases. Not infrequently, chemical engineers design new equipment or establish safety procedures. They also shoulder a responsibility for projects, conducting tests and supervising their overall production. In cases when there arise problems with the production, chemical engineers try to solve them, improving on the manufacturing process. Their other responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety regulations and estimating costs of production.
