What Is the Berke Personality Test? 

The Berke Personality Test is designed to measure job applicants' natural behavior. Some of the personality traits that the test assesses are:

The Berke Cognitive Ability Test estimates to what extent job candidates are endowed with the following cognitive talents:

Idea Productivity – The test estimates whether you can generate ideas rapidly one after another.

Logical Problem-Solving – Employers want to see if you possess the ability to think through large, complicated problems logically, gradually, and carefully.

Rapid Fire Problem-Solving – You are expected to demonstrate the ability to deal quickly with many problems, one after the other.

Spatial Visualization – The test ascertains whether you have the ability to hold in mind, manipulate, and think about three or more dimensions simultaneously.

Are There Right or Wrong Answers on the Berke Personality Tests?

Those who administer personality assessment tests claim there are no "right" or "wrong" answers and often refer to personality tests as personality "questionnaires" instead of "tests." This is not exactly correct, however. A personality assessment serves as a tool to help find the person who fulfill the criteria of a specific position. Therefore, there are right and wrong answers associated with specific positions. To gain an understanding of the types of questions on a personality test as well as the best way to answer them, it is important to practice in advance.

Should I Choose "Strongly Agree/Disagree" or "Agree/Disagree," When Answering Questions on My Berke's Test?

There are different kinds of questions on Berke's Personality Assessment. When given a statement with extreme statements such as "always" and "never," you should answer them with less extreme answers such as "Agree" and "Not Strongly Agree." However, there are questions on the Burke Test answering which you should choose "Strongly Agree" or "Strongly Disagree." You should choose "Strongly Agree" when the following types of questions are asked:

  • Most people are honest by nature.
  • Most people can be trusted.
  • Very few people steal at work.
  • I cannot recall a time when I lost my temper at work. 
  • I rarely worry about how well I'm doing at my job.

You should choose the "Strongly Disagree" answer, when you are asked the following types of questions:

  • It is human nature to steal from others.
  • Most people cannot be trusted.
  • Sometimes my co-workers annoy me.
  • I sometimes worry about losing my job because of office politics.
  • Sometimes I don't feel able to handle all my work responsibilities.
