ANU Test Stage
Taking psychometric tests is an important part of the ANU application process since these exams measure relevant character traits, strengths, and work-related preferences. The cogitative ability tests evaluate abstract, verbal, numerical, and logical reasoning aptitude. Since the personality and situational judgment (SJT) tests assess candidates’ emotional intelligence, there is no right or wrong answer to these evaluations. The results are mainly a reflection of behavioral reactions to situations and are useful in determining whether applicants are suitable for the position. An Excel assessment may be distributed as an interactive test to evaluate applicants’ capabilities and knowledge of the Excel Software. Additionally, the mechanical aptitude test takes candidates' knowledge of mechanical and physical concepts into account.

Question: What method should I use when answering selection criteria questions?
Answer: The STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Results) can be used to give examples of past experiences and portray behavioral traits and adaptability to challenges.
