Read about the Aleris recruitment process below:

Application: The Aleris application process can be accomplished by registering online and attaching a CV. Applications can also be performed with a recruiter or through an employee referral.

Telephone Interview: An HR representative may call applicants over the phone as the first part of the interview stage. This phone call filters out unfitting candidates by evaluating their skills and disposition.

In-Person Interview: For the next step, applicants will be asked to come in for in-person interviews. Each stage of the interview may differ based on several factors. Applicants may face panel or one-on-one interviews.

Tests: Various entrance exams are utilized for the purpose of evaluating candidates’ cognitive and technical abilities. Tests may be administered online or as written assessments on site.

The Aleris Bennett Mechanical Test

Psychometric testing is a well-known method for scoring candidates’ compatibility for the available position. For this reason, the type of aptitude test given to candidates may differ, depending on their desired role. One such pre-employment assessment may include the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT), which can be given to applicants interested in technical and industrial occupations. The BMCT assesses one’s ability to apply mechanical principles so that employers can deduce what applicants’ potential capabilities will be in the workplace.

There are two types of tests, the BMCT and the BMCT II. Each test displays candidates’ mechanical reasoning and spatial perception skills. Companies often conduct other aptitude exams, such as the mathematical, verbal, and abstract reasoning tests. These aptitude tests showcase one’s technical knowledge and cognitive capabilities. The personality assessment and situational judgement test (SJT) are both used to evaluate one’s characteristics and behavioral tendencies.
