AIG Hiring Process

The AIG hiring process is very similar regardless of your eventual position within the company. Below you will find the steps necessary to enter their ranks either as an experienced professional, or through the AIG internship program.

  • Application: If you are applying for the AIG internship program, you will either be able to submit your application to one of their on-campus recruiters, or online. All other applications will need to be submitted online.
  • First Interview: Your first interview with AIG will either be held over the phone, via Skype, or face-to-face.
  • Assessments: If you pass the initial AIG interview, you will be invited to take one or more pre-hire assessment tests. The AIG assessment test or tests were designed to give the company a better picture of your skills, abilities, and work persona.
  • Face-To-Face Interviews: The final stage of the AIG recruitment process will be a series of face-to-face interviews. These interviews will be held on-site and will either be conducted in a one-on-one format, or in a group/ panel.

AIG Assessment Test

The purpose of the AIG assessment test or test is to ensure your compatibility with not only the position you have applied for, but also your compatibility with their culture and workplace standards. It is important to prepare for all facets of the AIG recruitment process, including the AIG test.

AIG Interview Process

In the event you have successfully passed the initial screening process and interview, you will be invited out to participate in a series of two to three face-to-face interviews with the company. You will be asked behavioral and competency-based questions, as well as questions regarding your prior work history, salary expectations, etc.

The most thorough and organized manner in which to answer your interviewer’s questions is by using the STAR method.

Here are a few examples of the questions you should anticipate being asked during your AIG interview:

  • Why would you like to work at AIG?
  • How well do you work in a team?
  • Are you more of a social person or an analytical person?
  • Tell me of a challenge you overcame.
